National Repository Provides Sharing Lectures and Courses for Saudi Universities
The National Center for e-learning and Distance Learning launches “Maknaz” a digital repository including learning files and lectures which are used in learning process of universities. This repository is connected with all Saudi universities in order to make the information exchanged and utilized.
Alaa AlArfaj, an exhibiter, said that utilizing form learning files, documented information and lectures in “Maknaz” will be provided after 7 months for all faculty members and students in Saudi universities after contact the National Center for e-learning and Distance Learning to register and get their usernames and passwords.
She said that faculty member can upload learning files of his course to make it available for other faculty members and students.
“Maknaz” aims to create national repository to manage digital contents for learning objects, reuse digital content for e-learning, minify the ambivalence in learning objects, strengthen collaborative means among educational authorities on international and local stages, spread learning objects and develop learning objects and its quality.
