More Than 500 Researchers Participate in The Conference on Creating Learning for The Future



The number of scientific researches and research papers received by the Scientific Committee of The First International Conference on e-Learning and Distance Learning are 300 participations which are written by more than 500 academic and researchers about the themes of the conference, which they described as "very important" and "crucial to the future of the Arab education."
 
Dr. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Ajaji, the head of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, has declared that the committee has received the participations from members of 117 academic institutions in 28 countries around the world. These participations discussed vital and important issues in the field of e-learning like knowledge economy, virtual schools and the readiness of the teaching environment for e-learning. The participations reviewed the experience of e-learning in different countries of the developing world and advanced countries, and at the level of academic institutions in the Arab world.
 
The Head of the Scientific Committee has emphasized that the seven themes of the conference were selected carefully after discussions to cover comprehensive and important aspects to create learning for the future. The themes are: contemporary international variables and their impact on e-learning and distance learning for preparing the learner for the challenges of the 21st century, the e-learning and distance learning environment in the era of globalization and knowledge-based economy, requirements to design and implement e-learning and distance learning programs, the processes of teaching, learning and designing of electronic curricula, e-learning and people with special needs, quality and evaluation and international experiences in e-learning and distance learning.
 
Dr. Al-Ajaji has added that the conference will provide different experiences around the world in the field of e-learning and distance learning. It will add new dimensions to the process of education in the Arab world and will provide  wider ranges for mechanism of distance learning.
